Clarence was born in Crawford, Neb., May 31, 1926, the second of five children.
He worked with his dad shearing sheep and ranch work, along with his brother, Joe. These were hard times and they worked hard to help their dad feed and clothe the family. Clarence loved horses, especially draft horses and could drive a team.
For several years he worked as a farm and ranch hand in Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado. In 1950, he moved to Tulsa, Okla., and worked at Oklahoma Steel and Casting for 28 years. He took early retirement because of work related injuries.

Clarence is survived by a brother Joe of Arvada, Colo., a sister June Parker of Hudson, numerous nieces and nephews and his little dog "Jake."
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Golda Shockley, birth mother Daisy Shockley, sisters Sydney Mae Williams of Texas and Jean Fankhouser of Nebraska, and step-brother Floyd Baughman of Lusk, Wyo.
