Funeral services for Robert B. Sturtevant, 88, were held Saturday, Aug. 7, 1993, in the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Bob Norris officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.
Sturtevant died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1993 at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. He was born May 26, 1905, in Grand Forks, N.D., the son of George and Gertrude Sturtevant. He graduated from high school in Grand Forks and attended the University of North Dakota where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While in college, he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Sturtevant married Inez Cunningham June 20, 1932, in Devils Lake, N.D. She preceded him in death in 1987.
Bob worked for Westing House Electric in Minneapolis. He later owned and operated a Coast to Coast Store in Laurel, Mont. In 1950 they moved to Lusk where they owned and operated the Coast to Coast Store. After retiring from the store, he owned and operated Lusk Repair.
He was president of the Niobrara TV Club. While in business, he was an active member of the Lusk Commercial Club and was involved with the Hunter/Rancher feed held each fall. Sturtevant also was a member of the Niobrara Country Club.
Besides his wife, Inez, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, James and John.
Survivors include brother, Richard Sturtevant, Sun City, Ariz.; fiancé, Wyome Bourret, Lusk; and numerous other relatives.
