Dorothy VanSant
Dorothy "Pat" VanSant, 79, of Alamogordo, N.M., died Aug. 13, 1993, at Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital in Alamogordo.
Mrs. VanSant was born June 1, 1914 at Chadron, Neb. After receiving her bachelor's and master's degrees from Chadron State College, she taught English, American History, Psychology, Drama and Speech at Alamogordo High School from 1956-1961, and at Chadron, Nebraska High School from 1961 to 1978. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Nebraska, the Pan American Roundtable, and the First Christian Church in Alamogordo.
Survivors include four daughters, Joan Whiteley, Wickenburg, Ariz., Linda Marshall and husband, Harry, Holyoke, Colo., Marjorie Hinman and husband, Ed, Alliance, Neb., and Becky Davison, Alamogordo; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Marjorie Rocheck, Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two husbands and a brother.
