Services Held for Mrs. Orval Wright

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel last Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, for Mrs. Orval Chester Wright, who died in Douglas, January 15. The Rev. John Thompson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Douglas, officiated at the services.

A mixed quartet composed of Edna DeCastro,Opal Tempelton, Rex Yocum and George Gibson, sang "In the Garden", "Beautiful Isle",and "Gathering Flowers for the Master's Bouquet". Minerva Watson provided the organ accompaniment.

Internment was made in the Lusk Cemetery, with the following as pallbearers: Roy Condray, Clarence Carpenter, Leonard Gilbert, Thomas Bowers, all of Douglas; Hardy Lee and James Ringer, Sr. of Keeline.

Mrs. Orval Wright Dies at Douglas; Services Here

Mrs. Orval Chester Wright, 61, of Douglas died at a hospital in that city January 15 at 8:00 o'clock p.m. Services will be conducted from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.

Mary Ethel Kiester was born October 6, 1889 in Hemingford, Nebr. On September 14, 1910, she was married to Orval Chester Wright in Hemingford.

In the spring of 1913, Mrs. and Mrs. Wright with two small children came to Wyoming and homesteaded near Keeline. Mr. Wright preceded his wife in death on April 18, 1948. For the past three years, Mrs. Wright had been residing in Douglas.

Survivors in the immediate family include six children: Mary Jenkins, Denver; Orval Wright, Douglas; Sherman Wright, Lance Creek; Kenneth Wright, Lost Spring; and Marjory Wright, at home.
