Carol Peet Dies in Lusk Saturday; Funeral Held Tues.

Carol Mae Peet, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stace Peet of Lance Creek died Saturday at the Spencer Hospital. Death was attributed to a skin condition which is often fatal. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial was made in Lusk Cemetery.

Rev. and Mrs. Bozart sang a duet , "I Will Pilot Thee". A quartet composed of the Misses Barie Lee Kraft, Bonnie McKelvey, Dixie Foley and Mrs. Alberta McCallister sang "In The Garden" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.

Casket bearers were the Misses Joan Hansen, Carol York, Joyce Immesoete, Betty Sawywe, Mrs. Kester Akers and Mrs. Ivan Glandt.

Carol Mae Peet was born March 27, 1937 in Manville. She lived in the Manville and Lance Creek communities throughout her childhood and went through grade school at Lance Creek and graduated from Niobrara County High School with the class of 1955. She later attended Chadron Teachers College for a short time in 1955. Because of failing health she was unable to continue. For the past year she has been employed at the Stockmans National Bank in Lusk.

A brother and sister previously died in infancy. Surviving are her parents and one sister, Connie; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Peet of Lusk and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Redding of Colton, Calif., besides numerous other relatives.

Carol was a devout Christian girl, having been consecrated to the Lord and baptized in the American Sunday School Union several years ago. During the past three years she has attended the Open Bible Standard Church of Lusk, and was a teacher in the Sunday School of that church.
