Mrs. Anna Lackey Dies at Torrington
Mrs. Anna Lackey, 72, of Torrington and mother of Mrs. John Overman of Lance Creek died at her home July 10 shortly after noon. Services were conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Colyer Mortuary in Torrington with speakers of the LDS Church, Wes Lundgreen and John Simon, officiating.
Mrs. Lackey had been in poor health for several years and had recently been hospitalized at the Goshen County Memorial Hospital. She had been released the day preceding her death. Survivors include one son, Morris Lackey of Berkeley, Calif., and four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Brookshire of Berkeley, Calif., and Mrs. Irene Crenshaw of Torrington; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lackey is well-known here having spent much time visiting The Overmans.
Those attending the services Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. John Overman and Lois, Mrs. Bob Blaney and Mrs. Jake Haberman.
