John K. "Jack" Parsons of Harrison, Neb., died Sunday, May 19, 1985, at West Nebraska General Hospital in Scottsbluff, Neb. He was 84.
The son of Martha and Joseph C. Parsons, he was born Oct. 19, 1900, on the family ranch south of Harrison.
Mr. Parsons married Bertha Eberspecher in the Methodist Church in Harrison March 17, 1922. The couple ranched in the Harrison community.
They were the parents of five daughters, Phyllis, Lois, twins Connie and Bonnie and Jacquolyn.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Phyllis Bixler of Fort Collins, Colo., Lois Mae Sturman of Cheyenne, Connie Nicholas of Dillon, Mont., and Jackie Fullerton of Lusk; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Con, Cale, Joe and Charlie; sisters, Esther Glidewell, Kate Monroe and Mattie Carley; infant duaghter, Bonnie, and grandson, Robert Bixler.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon, May 22, at the Methodist Church in Harrison. The Rev. Jeff Thurman officiated. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Harrison Ambulance Fund or the Harrison Methodist Church.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford, Neb., handled arrangements.
