John A. Magan, 86, of Longmont, CO passed away December 7, 2014 at The Peaks Care Center. John was born on July 18, 1928 in Denver, CO to Mathew and Eleanor (Marcinkowski) Magan.

John served for 4 years in the United States Army including service in Germany and Korea. On November 6, 1954, he married Bobbee A. Sankey in Denver. They moved to the Longmont area in 1968. John was a photographer for IBM at the time of his retirement.

John was of the Catholic faith. He was an avid baseball and football fan and enjoyed photography.

John is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bobbee in 1998, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

John is survived by his three daughters; Leslie Balcom (Lester) of Wheatland, WY, Chris Thayer (Melvin) of Lusk, WY and Kathy Jo Magan of Florida, 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00-2:30 pm, Sunday, December 14 followed by the funeral at 2:30 pm at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Bodarc Cemetery in Harrison, NE. Memorial contributions may be made to Bodarc Cemetery in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
