OraLee Miller Vondra Smith passed away August 17, 2015 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Pier Funeral Home in Lusk, Wyo.

She was the fourth of seven children born to A.R. (Pat) and Velda (Penn) Miller. She was born at home on the Hat Creek homestead. OraLee attended rural schools in Niobrara County and graduated from Lusk High School in 1947. After graduation she worked as a secretary for Si West (who was the county agent) for several years.

She married Joe Vondra on February 29, 1948. To this union two children were born. They divorced in 1956.

She later married James E. Smith in 1958. They had one child. Jim and OraLee lived in the Moorcroft area for many years eventually moving to Lusk. OraLee was a housewife and enjoyed working as a waitress. She enjoyed being a member of the cast for the Legend of Rawhide.

She is survived by two sons: KC Vondra and Jess Smith of Casper, Wyoming, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Orese Vondra of Casper, Sharon (Jerry) Kanode of Moorcroft and one brother Patrick (Pat) A. (Bev) Miller of Lance Creek.

OraLee was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, a son JB Vondra and her husband Jim Smith.
