Dale B. Collins passed away January 1, 2017 peacefully in Casper, WY at the age of 92. Dale was born in Merced, California to Graham Frank and Dove Pearl Collins.

At the age of 17, Dale attempted to join all branches of the military to fight in WWII. Because of his age he was denied the opportunity to join but was however, accepted into the Merchant Marines Naval Academy, graduated and began his time circumnavigating the world. Once of legal age, Dale was accepted into the U.S. Navy as Chief Engineer and continued his service until the end of the war. After returning home Dale married Aileen Walker in Palo Alto, CA where they started their family and life together. Dale began his working career with Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in San Francisco, CA. After 37 years with the company, Dale retired as the manager of PG & E in Tracy, CA.

Dale married Maxine Diamant in 1976 and together they enjoyed traveling, sailing, flying his airplane and gardening. After Maxine's death, Dale moved to Lusk, WY to be near his children. Dale is survived by his three children, Doug Collins, Steven Collins and Jane Bakalian and stepson Randy Diamant, his wife Judi and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dale is preceded in death by Aileen Walker Knowles, grandson Keith Walker Collins, Maxine Collins and her daughter Terri Diamant. At Dale's request, there will be no funeral service.
