Richard Dreesen Rites Held

Richard M. Dreesen, Big Horn Construction Co. employee, died last Thursday, March 22, and funeral service was held here Monday afternoon. He was in Hanna at the time of his death.

Dreesen came to Lusk in 1957 and he and Wanda E. Wilson were married May 22, 1958, at Casper. He was a member of the Lusk Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

Richard M. Dreesen was born January 7, 1933, the son of Elmo and Florence Dreesen at Hartington, Neb. He attended country schools around Hartington. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a sergeant first class when discharged.

Father Bernard Bianco officiated at the Monday afternoon service at Peet Mortuary Chapel. Mark Lohr, soloist, sang "Amazing Grace" and "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by Minerva Watson.

Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Geary, Ed Trimmer, Merlin Kagel, Eldon Mollerbrink, Tom Hornbeck and Ed Hales.

He is survived by his widow Wanda and son Sean of Lusk; his mother Florence Dreesen, one brother, nine sisters; and two stepdaughters, Sunny Haley and Susan Maragheh.

Out-of-town relatives here for the service were: Mrs. Florence Dreesen, Hartington, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Leonie Schampp, Yankton, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Kalin, Coleridge, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Young, Dakota City, S.D.; Mrs. Phyllis Vettel, Aurora, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tuttle, Hartington, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Aerndt, Spencer, Iowa; Mrs. Bonnie Tachmann, Mrs. Lorraine Harbeca, Los Angeles, Calif.; Edwin Dreesen; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Heikes, Sioux City; Mrs. Helen Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Olson, Loveland, Colo.; Mrs. Susan Maragheh and daughter, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Sunny Haley, Republic of Singapore; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Euel, Bountiful, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wilson, Rawlins; Mr. and Mrs. Algot Wilson, Green River; Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, Big Piney.
