J. Leonard Eddy Dies Saturday; Burial in Lusk

Joseph Leonard Eddy, 57, Moorcroft, died June 5 at Moorcroft. Funeral service was held this Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk, with the Rev. Fred Bolinger of the First Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Casket Bearers were Kenneth Ivester, Donovan Emery, Clarence Mason, Harold Rogers, Clifford Cox and Harold Hardesty.

He was born September 9, 1913, to Joseph Clayton and Charlotte Eddy at Wessington Springs, S. D. When a small boy his family moved to the Keeline, Wyo., area. He attended school here and graduated from Manville High School. His adult life was spent ranching and on road and oil field construction. On October 17, 1966, he married Virginia Kindler of Cody, Wyo.

His father and one brother died previously.

Survivors include his widow Virginia of the family home; his mother, Mrs. Charlotte Eddy of Lusk; daughter, Mrs. Carol Russell and son Carl, both of Douglas; four brothers, Larry of Keeline; Edgar of Medford, Ore.; Herbert of Germany and Lyle of Casper; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Phillips of San Mateo, Calif.; and Mrs. Emma Rustad of Prescott, Ariz.; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
