Esther L. Fancher

Funeral services for Esther L. Fancher of Scappoose, Ore. were held December 23 in St. Helens. Ore. Burial followed in Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose.

Mrs. Fancher, age 79, passed away December 18, 1993 in Beaverton, Ore.

Esther was born on September 2, 1914 in Lusk, Wyo. to Frank and Annie Mae (Bennett) DeCastro. She grew up in the Lusk area, leaving in the mid 1930's. Mrs. Fancher lived in the Scappoose area for approximately 50 years. Her hobbies were traveling and crocheting.

Mrs. Fancher is survived by children Joanne Blessings of Kalama, Wash.; Patricia Wilson, Franck Fancher, Robert Fancher and William Fancher all of Scappoose, Ore.; Linda Denny of Houston, Texas; Katherin Herzog of Seattle, Wash.; and Connie Kuhn of Warren, Ore.; brothers Charles DeCastro of Holyoke, Colo. and Dr. Addison DeCastro of Hasting, Neb.; 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be sent to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
