Ed Fulk

Ed Fulk, age 83, of Lusk passed away at his home on May 10, 2005. A memorial service was held May 14 at the Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk, with Pastor Tom Strock officiating.

Edward Corwin Fulk was born on May 8, 1922, in Wheatland to LeRoy and Anna Elder Fulk.

He served in the United States Army 309th Air Engineer Squadron.

On Oct. 11, 1949 he married Sue Brow. They worked the rodeo circuit from California to Washington for several years before returning to Wyoming, where Ed worked on ranches. In 1965 Ed became Brand Inspector in Lusk, and served in this capacity until his retirement in 1992.

He enjoyed working with horses, spending time with his family and hiring out to area ranches.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Muriel; brothers, Howard and Leonard; and one grandchild, Bradley Allen Waln.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Jonell Robinson of Lusk, Nancy Ryman of White Plains, N.Y., Michele Fulk of Worcester, Mass.; sisters, Mildred Schuppan of Scottsbluff, Neb.; Irene Swabauer of Gering, Neb.; Sarah Moss of Vallejo, Calif.; Darlene Kinsey of Sidney, Neb.; grandchildren, Melanie McLaughlin, Jackson Fulk-Logan and Erika Dobbins; great grandchildren, Jozalyn Dobbins, Kerrick, Aria and Colton McLaughlin.

Memorials may be directed to the Niobrara County High School Rodeo organization or the Senior Center.
