Anna Etchemendy

Anna Etchemendy, mother of Prosper and George Etchemendy, and summer resident of Lost Springs for 30 years, died August 26 at her home in Montrose, Colo.

Anna Inchauspe was born June 6, 1903, at Lasse, France. She married Pierre Etchemendy February 1, 1929 in France. The Etchemendys came to the Montrose area in October 1929, and moved to Lost Springs in 1950. They have spent summers in Lost Springs since that time.

Rosary services were held August 29 and Mass of the Resurrection was August 30, both at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Montrose. Interment was at Grand View Cemetery in Montrose.

She is survived by her husband Pierre, two sons, Prosper and George, a daughter, Grace Johnson of Montrose, and ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Eveleen Maurer and two granddaughters, Tammie and Sandra Maurer.
