Funeral Mass is Held Thursday for Pat F. Fay

Requiem High Mass for Patrick F. Fay, 85, was celebrated in St. Leo's Church last Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. M. J. McBrien officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

"Pat" as he was known here was found dead in bed Tuesday morning by his brother, Ed, who had spent the greater part of the past seven years taking care of Pat, although he maintains a home in Omaha.

Pallbearers were: Albert Penn, Charles Vaughan, Cecil Toby, Lusk; Ken Hughes, Emery Gaukel, Keeline; and Everett Brooks, Casper.

Patrick F. Fay was born January 8, 1875 in Braidwood, Ill., one of five children born to Patrick and Catherine Hughes Fay. His only sister died in infancy before the family left Illinois in 1882. Pat moved to St. Libory, Nebr. with his parents at the age of seven, where he and his three brothers grew to manhood. He filed on a homestead near Flattop in 1910, where he met his wife-to-be, Flora Lockhorn.

Miss Lockhorn was making her home with her brother, Al. When Mr. Lockhorn entered the Army during World War 1 Miss Lockhart returned to her family home in Covington, Kentucky.

May 23, 1917 Flora and Pat were married in Covington. They returned to Pat's homestead at Flattop where they lived until health forced Pat to give up farming and retire. In 1935 they bought a home in Lusk, in which Pat was living at the time of his death. Mrs. Fay died January 30, 1942. His parents, sister, and two brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Ed and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ed, who has so patiently cared for his brother will soon return to his home in Omaha.
