Kenneth Gillbanks


, Lusk resident for the past 10 years, died Kenneth Gillbanks at Niobrara Memorial Hospital December 31 following a short illness. Funeral service was held at Peet Mortuary Chapel Monday, Jan. 3, with the Rev. Frank Blish officiating. The remains were cremated following the memorial service.

Memorials to the Niobrara Senior Center have been established by the family.

Kenneth Gilbanks was born December 24, 1910, at Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Ardmore, Okla., and later moved to Chicago. Following the death of this wife Judith in 1972, he moved to Lusk and considered Lusk his home.

He is survived by a daughter Jodi Bennett and granddaughters Sasha and Anne of Evergreen, Colo. and a stepdaughter Susan of Glenview, Ill.
