A funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2001, at the Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk with Pastor Tom Strock officiating. Interment will be in the Lusk Cemetery. Leila was born in Dalton, Neb., on January 12, 1921, to Arthur and Edith Showalter Rathbun. She moved to Manville in 1929 with her parents, her brother Floyd and her sister Margaret. The family farmed in the Manville and Lusk area. She married Lynard Gladson on Sept. 9, 1938 in Chardon, Neb. They made their home in Lusk and Manville. Three sons were born to this union. They worked ranching and enjoyed traveling the state of Wyoming and South Dakota with a road construction group. Leila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lynard in 2000, one grandson, Tony and an infant sister. She leaves to mourn her passing sons Don of Manville, Ron and his wife Twyla of Worland, Wyo., and Bob and his wife Pat of Douglas; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters; sister Margaret Lamb of Torrington, and brother Floyd Rathbun of Basin, Wyo., as well as nephews, nieces and many friends.
