Lynard Gladson

Lynard Gladson, age 84, of Manville, passed away on Wednesday at the Michael Manor in Douglas. Services were held on Saturday, June 24 at the Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk with Pastor Mark Lohr officiating. Interment followed in the Lusk Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.

Lynard was born at Milburn, Nebraska to Clarence O. and Pearl Marie (Tyson) Gladson on January 13, 1916. He attended schools in Custer County, Neb., and spent his early years farming and ranching. He went to C. C.C. Camps at Omaha, Neb., and Hill City, S.D. He came to Lusk with his parents in 1934. They worked for the Joss ranches for some time, and then in Lusk where he worked at different jobs. He worked with Foster Jackson moving houses, and with several construction outfits, including Lamb Construction.

He married Leila Marie Rathbun in Chadron, Neb., on September 9, 1938. They made their home in Lusk and Manville. To this union three sons were born.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Leila of Manville; sons Don of Manville, Ron and his wife Twyla of Worland, Wyo., and Bob and his wife Pat of Douglas, Wyo. Six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters; one step-brother Cliff and his wife Eloise Renz of Reliance, Wyo.; two step-sisters Helen and her husband Bill Immesoete of Torrington, Wyo. and Shirley and her husband Norm Reich of Star, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother, his stepfather Ray Renz and one grandson, Tony.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of arrangements.
