Ken Hammond dies in Colorado
Funeral services for Kenneth M. Hammond, 61, were held at 2:00 p.m. August 12 at the Warren Funeral Home in Ft. Collins, Colo. Burial was made in the Grand View Cemetery.
Mr. Hammond, who lived with his wife at Brush, Colo., died suddenly August 8 after being taken to the hospital, following a heart attack. Mr. Hammond had been employed by Continental Oil Company's production department for 35 years, living in Lance Creek, Linch, Salt Creek, Texas and Louisiana.
He was born in Loveland, Colo., June 13, 1907. September 30, 1930, he and Muriel Jensen were married. He started working for the Continental Oil Company in 1929 at Wellington, Colo., and retired in 1964 when the couple moved to Brush.
Surviving Mr. Hammond are his widow Muriel; two sons, Jack W. Hammond of Lance Creek, R. Kaye Hammond of Ventura, Calif., one brother, Archie Hammond of Denver, four grandchildren and a stepmother, Mrs. Lotella Hammond of Bellview, Colo.
Mr. Hammond was preceded in death just five days before by his father, H. V. Hammond, 87. His funeral was held on August 7.
Attending the services for Kenneth Hammond were Ray Austin and Rev. Everette Zinn of St. Paris, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hammond and daughters returned home last Thursday.
