Linda Joyce Neilson Lemons

A funeral service for Linda Joyce Nielsen Lemons, 50, was held at 3 p.m., Thurs., Jan 5, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation was held at the church from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thurs. before the service. Burial took place Fri., Jan. 6, 2006 in the Riverview Cemetery in Worland.

She died Wed., Dec. 28, 2005, after losing her life as a result of Front temporal dementia.

Born June 26, 1955, in Lander, she was the second child of Kenneth Orson Nielsen and Pauline Joyce Nissen Nielsen.

She graduated from the Lander Valley High School in 1973. She attended Sheridan College where she earned her dental hygiene degree. On July 15, 1975 she married Roger R. Lemons, son of Earnest and the late Alma Lemons of Lusk, in Ogden, Utah, LDS temple. They lived in Logan and Worland.

In 1982, they moved to Powell, where she worked for Dr. Kenneth and Dr. Cordelia Hoffmann.

In 1996, they moved to Mesa, Ariz., where she worked for Dr.'s Fredrick Turley and Stephen Driggs.

She moved to Laramie in March 2003 to be closer to her mother due to failing health.

She had many talents such as playing the piano, canning, crafts and counter-cross stitching. She grew a garden when possible and helped her boys raise and care for animals. She loved animals and raised several pet Shih Tzu's.

She loved and spent time with her boys such as reading to them, helping them become Eagle Scouts and supporting their activities. She loved to make holidays special and loved to cook. She also cared for neighbors and nursing home residents.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings such as Relief Society President, Primary President and Nursery Leader.

Survivors include her mother of Laramie; two sons, Ty R. Lemons and his wife of Queen Creek, Ariz. and Coy N. Lemons and his wife of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one brother, Gary K. Nielsen and his wife of Gilbert, Ariz; two sisters, Debra L. Anderson and her husband of Riverton and Connie J. Bassett and her husband of Laramie; one grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services were under the direction of the Rocky Mountain Funeral Home.
