Last Rites Held For Mrs. Green

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. March 5 for Mrs. Florence Green, 60, at the Stark Chapel in Douglas. Rev. Clyde Thompson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Douglas officiating. Burial was in the Douglas Park Cemetery, with Albert Mickelberry, Rod Geisinger, Ray Austin, Harold Waddell, Walter Kant, Raymond Smith, Bill Owens and Bob Gentle serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Aubrey Manning, Leonard Shaw, Veldon Saul, Henry Amend, R. R. Smith, William Nuttall, Art Joss, R. L. Swan and Johnny Howard.

Anna Florence Evans, daughter of Thomas Belford and Martha Anna Evans was born November 12, 1902, in Missouri. On October 17, 1920, she became a member of the Big Niangue Baptist Church in Roach, Mo., where she was still a member at the time of her death, at Lebannon, Mo., Feb 28, in the Wallace Hospital.

On August 18, 1923, she married Joe W. Green of Lost Springs, Wyo. They lived in this area for 26 years. Mrs. Green was a member of the Cow Belles.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Green is survived by one brother, William Evans, Memphis, Tenn., a sister, Bertha Ball, St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
