Kenneth Hawkins Service Held In Lusk Sat.
Funeral service was held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel for Kenneth Hawkins, 67, who died November 6 at Powell.
The Rev. Fred Bolinger conducted the service with Mrs. J. P. Watson, as organist. Mark Lohr, soloist, sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden".
Honorary pallbearers were Otto Krekeler, Archie Liberty, Chet Stubson, Henry Stiles, Al Lagerberg, Sven Johnson, Clyde Felt, Archie Huey, Roy Johnson and Linden Nelson.
Casket bearers were Dan Hanson, Speck Black, Gaylord Anderson, John Goddard, Paul Heany and Andy Neilson. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Kenneth William Hawkins was born January 26, 1907, at Plainview, Neb., the son of William T. and Viola Vanconett Hawkins.
He came to Wyoming in 1923 with his family and graduated from Lusk High School in 1927. He was married to Delphine Kendall at Hot Springs, S. D. in 1935. He was employed as a pumper for Marathon Oil Company at Lance Creek for 35 years, retiring in 1968. In 1969 they moved to Powell.
Mr. Hawkins was affiliated with the Baptist Church and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of Powell; one son Richard of Riverton; one daughter Delores Baker of Torrington; one brother Elwood of Lusk; two sisters Irma Harris of Casper and Mary Porter of Crawford and two grandchildren. His parents died previously.
