Funeral held for Mabel L. Haworth

Funeral service was held for Mable L. Haworth Nov. 20 at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Harrison. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.

Ministers were Miss Carolyn Haworth, a granddaughter, John Lambot, and Kenneth Boss. Organist was Mrs. Dorothy Todd. Singers were Steve Haworth, a grandson, Bill Buckley, and Jay Sharp. They were accompanied by Mrs. Raymond Haworth on the piano. Songs were "In The Garden" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee."

Casketbearers were grandsons - Keith Haworth, Raymond Haworth, Eldon Haworth, Tom Haworth, Tom Rea, and Jack McMaster.

Mabel L. Haworth was born in Lead, S.D., on Nov. 24, 1892, and died Nov. 16, 1975, in Whittier, Calif. She was the daughter of George and Lillie Phillips. She came to Sioux County in 1903.

In 1911 she married Jake Sailors who died in 1932. Her daughter Lillie died in 1933, that year and in 1941 she was married to Lauren W. Haworth who died in 1971.

Survivors are: five sons, William Haworth of Montana, Howard Haworth of Lusk, Harry and Kenneth Haworth and Roger Sailors of California; one daughter, Mary Waltz of California; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
