Ruth Genevieve "Taylor" Hibbard
Ruth Hibbard finished life peacefully in the presence of her loved ones Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at 10 p.m. at Crook County Memorial Hospital in Sundance after a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be held Sunday after noon from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in Sundance, with Rev. Fr. Lyle Martin, officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Sundance. Those who wish can attend a fellowship at the church immediately following the burial.
Ruth was born April 15th, 1933, in Lusk, the last of four daughters to Agnes and Robert Taylor.
Ruth received her teaching degree from Black Hills State University and taught 1st grade in Sundance for 17 years. During this time she and her husband supported their children's endeavors and educated them, contributing to their success. She had a great love for music. She enjoyed singing and dancing. She loved gardening and working in her flowerbeds. She enjoyed arts and crafts and in her later years, liked to tole paint. She spent many hours sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family. She loved animals and caring for them. She was a wonderful cook and an avid reader. Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Zerwer of Grants Pass, Oregon; Neoma Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada; Barbara Sorenson of Eugene, Oregon and her parents Robert and Agnes Taylor of Lusk.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bill. Her son Dr. Robert N. Hibbard and wife Tracy and their three children Cammy, Holly, and Robin living in Omaha, Nebraska, her son Timothy Hibbard, Technical Services Engineer for WYDOT, living in Cheyenne. Her daughter Jeanne, who followed in her mother's footsteps, became an elementary school teacher. Jeanne and her husband Philip ranch northwest of Oshoto. Her son Kevin, Budget Officer for WYDOT, his wife Debra and their three children Aubrey, Taylor, and Robert Kevin reside in Cheyenne, and she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel, Sundance.
