Funeral services for Emma Giedd Hollon, 91, of Lusk, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 1991, at the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery. A complete obituary will follow.

Funeral services for Emma Giedd Hollon, 91, of Lusk, were conducted Monday, Dec. 2, 1991, at 11 a.m. at the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Hollon died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1991, at Niobrara County Memorial Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 28, 1899, in Charles Mix County, S.D., to John W. Giedd and Elena Buchholz Giedd. She moved with her parents to Wyoming in 1916. She worked at the North Western Hotel in Lusk until she married.

On June 30, 1919, she married Duff Payne Hollon in Harrison, Neb. For many years she worked with her husband at the Hollon's Camp and Service Station, in later years to become the Covered Wagon Motel.

Her hobbies included ceramics and painting.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, father, four brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

Survivors include two sons, C. E. "Jerry" Hollon of Laramie; E. D. "Ed" Hollon of Douglas; one brother, Ben Giedd of Pahrump, Nev.; two daughters-in-law; four grandsons; two granddaughters; six great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Niobrara County Memorial Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.

Bader-Peet Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
