Con Hughes Dies In Oil Field Accident, Casper

Con Hughes, 58, of Casper, Wyo., was killed Monday of last week in an oil field accident near Wamsutter, Wyo.

Funeral service was held Friday morning at the Bustard Funeral Home in Casper with burial in the Casper Cemetery.

Mr. Hughes was born June 10, 1915, at Whitman Wyo., to Cyrus and Lela Herren Hughes. He married Mary Hourt in 1941. One son, Darold, was born.

Survivors include his wife Mary of Casper; his son Darold of Casper; two grandchildren; brothers, Pat of Lewiston, Idaho, Sam of Pocatello, Idaho, Charles and Al of Casper, Bob of Torrington, Wyo., Bill of Ft. Scott, Kan., Sam of Pocatello, Idaho; and sisters, Mrs. Bill Schaefer of Harrison and Mrs. Mattie Middaugh of Casper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jim and a sister Ola Mae.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schaefer, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Schaefer, Mr. and Mrs. Don Mack, Charles Mack, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Phipps, and Mrs. Alice Larsen of Crawford were in Casper on Friday to attend the funeral service.
