Service Last Thursday for Dave Iliff
Funeral service was held last Thursday at the Peet Chapel for David Iliff, 88, who died at his home in Lusk October 15.
The Rev. Fred Bolinger of the Baptist Church conducted the service with Mrs. Edna DeCastro, organist, playing "The Old Rugged Cross."
Casket bearers were Eugene Perry, A. F. DeCastro, Robert Templeton, James Potter, Graydon Hoblit and Ray Taylor. Burial was in the Lusk cemetery.
David Oray Iliff was born January 20, 1885, in Paulding County, Ohio, the son of John W. Iliff and Susanna M. Laisure. He attended school in Bryant, Ind.
In 1908 the family came to Buffalo on the stagecoach. They homesteaded at Kaycee for five years before moving to Casper in 1916. In 1917 they moved to Lusk where Mr. Iliff worked as a freighter for the Ohio Oil Company for two years. He also worked for the Midwest Hardware and Skelgas plant for many years.
In 1935 he started the Wyoming Cabin Camp which he operated for 22 years, retiring in 1957.
He is survived by two sisters Ocea Iliff of Lusk and Pauline Straight of Provo, S. D.; two nieces and one nephew. His parents and one brother, Ed. died previously.
