Treva Marie Janssen

Funeral services for Treva Marie Janssen, 73, were Dec. 13, 1999 at the United Methodist Church, Ness City, Kan. Burial was in the Ness City Cemetery.

Treva Marie Janssen died Dec. 9, 1999, at her home in Ness City.

She was born Feb. 4, 1926, at Ness City, Kans., the daughter of Loren and Ethel (Smith) Peters.

She married William F. Janssen on Aug. 17, 1944, at Hutchinson, Kans.; he died Sept. 3, 1995.

She was a member of United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Ness County Nurses Association, all of Ness City. She lived in Ness City for most of her life.

Survivors include: sons William Janssen of Great Bend, Kans.; Gordon Janssen of Hutchison, Kans.; daughters Billie Backhaus of Lusk, Willa Zimmer and Karrie Harper of Ness City.; sisters Dorothy Sticklein and Winnifred Wilcox of Ness City, Kans., Doris Pfannenstiel of Loveland, Colo.; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the William F. Janssen Scholarship Fund, United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
