Service for Henry Klemke

Memorial service for Bernard Henry Klemke, Lusk, was Monday at the Peet Mortuary Chapel. Klemke died July 21.

He was born July 12, 1899 to Martha Magretha Dobkowitz and Constantin Klemke. He was raised on a farm near Hemingford, Neb.

On July 2, 1925 he married Henrietta Johanna Reimann, Ashton, Idaho, and the two homesteaded in the Indian Creek area. To this union one daughter, Phyllis Anna, was born. His wife "Anna" died on March 23, 1929.

In 1937 Henry married Sophie Jassman and they lived on a ranch northwest of Lusk until poor health forced him to retire and move to town.

He is survived by his wife Sophie, his daughter, Phyllis Gaukel, Stavenger, Norway; two grandchildren, Gerald Gaukel and Terrie Lynne Morrison, both of Casper; three brothers, Otto and Joe Klemke, Lusk, and Albert Klemke, Hemingford; and three sisters, Martha, Gladstone, Ore., Elsie, Hemingford and Ida, Mesa City, Ariz.

Officiating at the service was the Rev. Beauferd Anderson. Music was provided by Mrs. Ruth Hahn, organist, and singers Susan Hahn, Kathy Doctor and Debbie Akers.

Interment is in Lusk Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Anna, two brothers and one sister.
