Funeral Services For Mrs. Martha Klemke Held Sat.

Funeral services were held last Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary for Mrs. Martha Klemke, with Rev. F. C. Doctor, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery. She died in Lusk February 22 from the complications of old age.

A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb, Mrs. Samuel M. Thomas, Donley Unruh and Harry Lyon sang "Just As I Am" and "Rock of Ages" accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist.

Active pallbearers were her six sons Otto Klemke, W. L. Klemke, H. P. Klemke, Henry Klemke, Joe Klemke and Albert Klemke.

Honorary pallbearers were Carl Spacht, Joe Bartos, John Rice, Lewis Wanek, James Moravek, Norbert Fronappel, Frank Uhrig and George Uhrig.

Mrs. Klemke was born December 27, 1866 at Two Rivers, Wisconsin to Joeseph and Anna Maria Dobkowitz. She attended the parochial school at Snyder, Nebr., joining the Lutheran church at the age of fourteen.

She married Constantine Klemke, March 2, 1888 at Fremont, Nebr. They were the parents of ten children. Prior to moving to Lusk in 1930, she and her family lived on a homestead near Hemingford, Nebr. Mr. Klemke preceded her in death in 1943. For the past eighteen months she had been making her home with her children.

Survivors include ten children, Otto H. Klemke, Walter L. Klemke, Henry B. Klemke, Helmuth P. Klemke all of Lusk, Joseph Klemke of Hat Creek, Albert F. Klemke and Mrs. Anna Rogowski of Hemingford; Mrs. Metha M. Lance of Alliance, Mrs. Martha M. Plymate of Oregon City, Ore. and Mrs. Ida A. Zimmerman of Mankato, Kan.; three sisters, Mrs. Ottilie Hantke of Neilsville, Wis., Mrs. Mathilda Schneider of Snyder, Nebr., and Mrs. Emma Meyers of Fort Collins, Colo; also 32 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.

Out of town friends and relatives attending funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Klemke, Bayard, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Erich Klemke, Minatare, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Scace, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Klemke, Jr., Hot Springs, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roth, Alliance; Mrs. Roland Keefer; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roth; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wanek and Mr. and Mrs. Hortsman, all of Hemingford, Nebr.
