Myrtle Lambert

Memorial services for former Lusk resident, Myrtle Lambert, 80, of Eugene, Ore. will be conducted on Friday Feb.18 at the Buell Chapel in Springfield, Ore.

Myrtle died on Feb. 5 at Gate Way Gardens on Eugene, Ore. She was born on Oct. 5, 1925 in Lusk and was the oldest daughter of Lawrence and Ethel Tucker. She married Carl Lambert in 1946, and had two sons, Carl and Bobby in this union.

Her husband, Carl died in 1950, and her son Bobby, died in 1999. Survivors include her son, Carl, one sister, two brothers and numerous grandchildren.

Burial will be at the Lusk Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 18 for Myrtle Bernice Lambert of Springfield, who died Feb. 5 of age-related causes. She was 79.

Lambert was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Lusk, Wyo., to Lawrence Sylvester and Ethel Rea Stevens Tucker. She married Carl Lambert in Lusk. He died in 1950.

She grew up and attended school in Lusk, moving to Rifle, Colo., in 1966. She had lived in Springfield since 1990. She had worked as a hotel maid.

Lambert enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flowers and gardening.

Survivors include a son, Carl of Oakridge; a sister, Verna Rokne of Springfield; two brothers, Wayne Tucker of Woodburn and Larry Tucker of Grand Coulee, Wash.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A son, Robert, died in May 2000.

Friday's service will be held at 4 p.m. at Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield.
