Cecil William Lincoln

Services for Cecil William "Bill" Lincoln, 67, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 1992, in the Bader-Peet Mortuary in Lusk with Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial followed in the Jireh Cemetery.

Lincoln died Monday, Jan. 20, at the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Sheridan. He was born Oct. 4, 1924, at Jireh, Wyo., the son of Joshua and Mae Lincoln. He attended school at Keeline and in Lusk.

In June 1943 he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and was a Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class when discharged in December 1945. While in the service, he received the American Area Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He then worked in the Lance Creek Oil Fields and for many years was employed by Wilson's Plumbing and Heating.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, five brothers, Leonard Lincoln, Russell Lincoln, Floyd Lincoln, Virgil Lincoln and James Lincoln, one sister, Lorena, and one grandson.

Survivors include two daughters; Sheila Bass of Brighton, Colo. and Debbie Koch of Phillipsburg, Kan.; one sister, Fannie Gaukel of Lusk and five grandchildren.

Memorials to the charity of choice will be appreciated by the family.

Bader-Peet Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
