Masonic Rites for Vernon Lamb

Masonic Funeral rites were conducted for Vernon Donald Lamb at the Peet Mortuary the afternoon of May 15, and interment was in the Lusk Cemetery. Past Master C. E. Marvin conducted the rites.

Pallbearers were Joe Divver, Billings; Vernal Massey, Buffalo; Haydn Jones Casper; James Hodgson, Boulder, Colo.; Bill Kelly, Guernsey; Dean Long, Linch. Honorary bearers were Sam Rosenthal, Fred Aten, Fred McNeil, Les Arnwine, Jake Haberman, N. W. Compton, Burton Hall, Ted Chambers, Ed Foley and Theo Georgeson.

A male quartet composed of Harry Lyon, Gerald Bardo, Mike Lyon and James Wilson sang "Abide With Me" and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was organist.

Mr. Lamb had died May 11 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born July 10, 1909, in Iowa to Arthur and Docia Lamb, one of six children.

He married Martha Rogers on September 21, 1941 in Lusk. They moved to Sun City, Ariz. after living in Buffalo, Wyo. for several years. Prior to that he had been an employee of the Continental Oil Company for 28 years in Linch and Lance Creek. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Mr. Lamb was a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge of Lusk and was a past patron of Mariposa Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites Consistory.

Survivors are his widow Martha, one brother, Ivan of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Crystal Bryant of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Elizabeth Lee of Torrington, and brothers and sisters-in-law Dr. and Mrs. R. B. Rogers of Cheyenne, Mr. and Mrs. Mack White of Buffalo, and Mrs. Frances Moss of Long Beach, Calif.
