Graveside services for George W. Liberty 77, of Guernsey, were held Aug. 15, 2003, at Black Hills National Cemetery.

George W. Liberty died Tuesday, Aug 12, 2003 at the Fort Meade VA Medical Center.

George was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Rulo, Neb., to Archie and Jessie (Craig) Liberty. He graduated from high school in Manville, Wyo., and served in the US Army during World War II. After his time in the military, George spent most of his life working in the mines and oil fields in Wyoming.

Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, S.D. was in charge of arrangements.
