Clarence Lonly

Clarence Lonly a long time resident of the northern part of Niobrara County died at the Spencer Hospital, Monday, March 17 from a heart ailment. He had been a patient at the hospital for eight days.

Mr. Lonly was born February 28, 1870, and celebrated his 77th birthday anniversary last month. He has been a resident of Wyoming for 27 years, residing on a ranch located on Highway 85, some 40 miles northeast of Lusk.

Surviving him are his wife, a son in Chicago and a daughter who lives in California, and she is on her way here to attend the funeral services which will be conducted from the Peet Chapel on Friday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock. The Rev. Ezra Duncan will be in charge of the service.

Interment will be in the Lusk Cemetery.

Clarence Lonly Rites Held Friday

Last Rites for Clarence Lonly were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. Ezra Duncan officiating. Two songs, "We're Going Down the Valley," and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung as duets by the Misses Dorothy Humphrey and Phyllis Owens, accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson.

The casket bearers were Thomas Setella, Clair Kerr, Ed Colligan, A. F. Vogel, Raymond Christianson and Lloyd Jones, and interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.

Mr. Lonly is survived by his wife and four step-children, Mrs. Mabel Van Camp of Alameda, Calif.; Dewey Brown, Reno, Neb.; Daniel Brown, Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. Dolly Hughes of Paeadena, Calif.

The deceased was 77 years of age and had resided on a ranch in the northeast part of the county for the past 27 years, where he engaged in the stockraising industry.
