Cecil M. Main Passes Away Sunday At Manring Convalescent Home; Last Rites Held in Alliance, Nebr., Tuesday
Cecil M. Main who for the past two and a half years has made his home at the Manring Convalescent Home passed away at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31st. He succumbed to an illness with which he had been afflicted for some time.
The remains were prepared for burial by the Peet Mortuary and were taken overland to Alliance, Nebr., where last rites were held under the direction of the Walker Funeral Home of Alliance on Tuesday. Accompanying the remains to Alliance were the deceased's daughter, Cecelia of the city, and a nephew, Bernard A. Main of Alliance.
Cecil Merle Main was born July 23rd, 1910 at Alliance, Nebr., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ranch Main and departed from this life on January 31st, 1954 at the age of 43 years, six months and eight days.
For many years he was employed as a mechanic until he suffered a stroke that left him an invalid. For the past two and a half years he had been cared for and made his home at the Manring Convalescent Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Main, a daughter, Cecelia, 16, and a son, Marvin, 15, all of Lusk, two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Chubbuck and Mrs. Minie Hegerman of Alliance, Nebr., one brother, Ernest Main of Alliance, Nebr., and numerous other relatives.

Cecil Main Dies In Lusk Sunday
Cecil Merl Main, 43, Lusk resident the past two and a half years died at the Manring Convalescent Home Sunday evening at 5 p.m. from the effects of a stroke of approplexy. He had previously suffered two similar strokes, and had been in ill health for the last nine months.
Mr. Main was born in Alliance, Neb. in 1911. Upon moving to Lusk with his family he was employed as an auto mechanic at the Hiway Garage.
Funeral services were held at the Walker Mortuary in Aliance Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.
Survivors include his wife Catherine, a daughter Cecelia, a son, Marvin, all of Lusk; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Chubbock and Mrs. Blanche Hagerman, a brother Ernest Main, and a nephew, Bernard A. Main, all of Alliance.
