Preston "Pep" Mangus

Word was received of the death of former Lance Creek resident Preston "Pep" Mangus, 87, who died of cancer. He and his wife, Margaret, made their home in Fallon, Nev. His death was before Thanksgiving. A sister-in-law, Iris Mangus, of Glenrock, and a granddaughter, Sandy and Jim Coy of Newcastle were with the family when he died.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Preston, Jr.; and a stepson Bucky Mangus, and one brother.

He was preceded in death by one son, Clarence Eugene, and seven brothers and sisters, among them being Clarence, Cliff and George, all former Lance Creek residents.
