Funeral service was to be held at the Church of Christ in Chadron with the Rev. Roger Adamson officiating. He was buried in the Johnstown Cemetery where his parents were buried. Marshall was born May 31, 1890 at Hay Springs, Neb., the son of Henry S. and Cecilia M. Marshall. When he was 12 his parents emigrated by covered wagon to Johnstown, Neb., in Brown Co. where he attended school and helped on the farm. He was a member of the United Brethern Church.

In the winter of 1916 and spring of 1917 he came to Wyoming and filed on a homestead north of Lusk on Buck Creek, entered the Army Oct. 5, 1917, and served until April 5, 1919. He then made the homestead his home until proof was made, he farmed different places around the country, and in 1936 he went to Sand Point, Idaho, where he stayed for two years. In 1938 he returned to Johnstown to be with his mother until she died in August.

From there he returned to Niobrara County and worked on the range for a few years with sheep. Later he moved to Lusk, and after suffering a heart attack in 1962 spent the rest of his life in the Veteran's Hospital in Hot Springs, S. D. and in nursing homes in Chadron and Hay Springs. Recently he was presented a Life Certificate to the American Legion having served the organization for 50 years.

Mr. Marshall is survived by three brothers, Benton of Chadron, Neb., Milo of Virginia and Dale of Colorado; a sister Mrs. Keeney of Lusk.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1910, his mother and three brothers Jesse, Frank and Harrison, who died in infancy.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Keeney and Leon of Denver and Mrs. Alta Keeney attended the service and then went to Ainsworth, Neb. to visit. The Jim Keeneys returned to Denver Sunday.
