Services for former Lance Creek resident Gladys Martindale, 94, of Anahiem, Calif., were held at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Brea, Calif. Interment was at Rose Hills Cemetery, beside her husband Frank B. Martindale.
Gladys Martindale died July 31, 2003.
Frank and Gladys lived in Lance Creek for seven years, before moving to California in 1951. They were ardent supporters of high school sports; Frank would change his shift around, or work double shifts, just to go to a game.
Gladys is survived by two daughters, Norma Jean Williams and her husband Mel, and Joan Troy and her husband Ed; a sister, Elsie Peet of Kansas; and a brother, Kenneth Redding of Douglas; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
