Josephine LaRee Tollman was born October 20, 1934, at Casper, Wyo., and died after a lingering illness at Chadron November 30 at the age of 37. She was the youngest child of Rex and Ora Tollman.
She spent the first years of her life on a homestead west of Highland, Wyo., with her parents, three brothers and two sisters. At the age of four she moved with her family to Waltman, Wyo., where she began her schooling. In 1943 they moved to her grandfather's farm near Belmont, Neb., where she grew to womanhood. She finished elementary education at Belmont and graduated from Crawford High School in 1952.
On July 3, 1952, she married Marion Laverne McCoy. Five children were born: Rodney, Deborah, Roger, Roy and Edward. After her husband returned from the service they made their home in Sidney, Neb., until 1960 when they moved to a ranch south of Glen in Sioux County where the family still resides.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Clarence, and a brother, George.
Survivors include her husband and her children of the home; her parents of Crawford; two sisters, Rosella Haynes of Richmond, Calif., and Neva McGregor of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two brothers Don of Holt, Missouri, and Richard of Harrison.
Services were conducted at the Methodist Church in Crawford with the Rev. Dan Johnson and Howard Childerson officiating. Interment was in the Crawford Cemetery.
