Funeral This Thursday for Jessie Meier

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Jessie Meier, 70, who died Monday at the Natrona County Memorial Hospital in Casper.

The Rev. Fred Bolinger will conduct the service with Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, organist, accompanying Russell Olmstead, soloist, in singing "Rock of Ages" and "In The Garden." Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery.

Honorary pall bearers are Frank Mahnke, Leo Heins, Lloyd "Doc" Smith, Gerald "Mick" Coen, Lee Thomas and Bob Black.

Casket bearers are Dan Mahnke, John Hammond, Howard Haworth, Jim Smith, David Poage and Harvey Poage.

Jessie Teter was born in Hutchinson, Kans., May 10, 1902, the daughter of Ira and Flora Teter.

When she was 15 the family moved to Wyoming homesteading northeast of Lusk. October 26, 1926, she married Albert H. Meier. The couple farmed and ranched in the Kirtley and Keeline areas until 1967 when they moved to Lusk.

She is survived by three children, Albert E. of Meeteetse, Jesse J. of Casper, and Mabel M. Houx who lives south of Manville, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her parents and husband died previously.
