Mrs. Walt Meier Funeral at Harrison

The community is in sympathy with the family of Mrs. Walt Meier whose funeral was Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Shoults and Ronnie, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Phipps, and Mrs. Lester Lewis were among those at the funeral. Mrs. Meier was the mother of Mrs. Warren Robertson. All the children, as well as many other relatives and friends were in Harrison for the funeral.

Mrs. Meier was born to Roman and Katherine Winterhalter at St. Louis, Mo., July 9, 1889. She married Walter Meier of St. Louis on November 2, 1910. They were the parents of four children, three daughters, Mrs. Theron (Lorraine) Duckworth of Alliance, Neb., Mrs. Walter (Mildred) Zerbst of Lusk, Wyo., Mrs. Warren (Evelyn) Robertson, Van Tassell, Wyo., and a son Walter, Jr. Aurora, Neb.

She and her husband homestead 10 miles north of Van Tassell shortly after arriving in Harrison. They lived on a farm until the family home burned January 4, 1933. Selling the land they bought a home in Harrison.

Pallbearers were Milford Brewster, Carl Engebretsen, James Peterson, Bob Fancher, Rex Schoults, and John Hammond. Burial was in the Harrison Cemetery.
