Eva Florence Moister
Eva F. Moister, a Lusk resident since 1978, died at the Niobrara Nursing Home October 17.
Eva Florence Moister was born March 19, 1924, south of Andrews, Neb. She attended District 53 elementary school south of Andrews and graduated from Sioux County High School at Harrison in 1942. She married Stanley F. Moister October 11, 1943, at Alliance, Neb.
During World War II, Mrs. Moister lived with her parents until the return of her husband. They then moved to Sidney, Neb. In 1950 the family moved to New York State where she returned to school graduating as a licensed practical nurse in 1972.
In 1978, she came to Lusk and went to work for the Niobrara Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home until she became ill last February. She was an active member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and sang in the choir at her church in New York.
Rosary was at Peet Mortuary Chapel October 20 with Mass for Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Bernard Bianco at St. Leo's Catholic Church last Wednesday.
Karen Edinger was organist while Jeraldine Waldock sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." Casket bearers were David Edinger, Rick Jassman, Blackie Donohue, Patrick Knifer and Rex Heth.
Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Moister is survived by two sons, Lawrence of Schenectady, N,Y.; and Lonie of Saratoga, Springs, N.Y.; her mother Teresa Johnston, Lusk; three sisters, Velma Caswell, Taos, N.M., Leona Mason, Lebanon, Ore., and Anita Geike, Lusk; one brother Laurence Johnston, Elk Grove, Calif.; two granddaughters; one grandson and many other relatives.
