Service here Monday for C. C. Morehouse

Funeral service was held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Peet Chapel for Clinton C. Morehouse who died July 19 at Rapid City where he had been a patient at the Rapid City Rehabilitation Center and St. John's Hospital with a heart condition for the past several months.

The service was conducted by Vince McFarland with Mrs. Judson Watson, organist. Soloist Randy Ball sang "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord's Prayer."

Casket bearers were Clinton Crawford Morehouse, Leslie Schnorenberg, Gene Lee, Harry Fernau, Jr., Rodney Schnorenberg, and Marty Fernau. Burial was in the family plot in the Lusk Cemetery.

Clinton C. Morehouse, the son of George Albert and Cora Crawford Morehouse, was born March 2, 1896, at Belvedere, Neb. He spent his school years in Nebraska, graduating from the University of Nebraska in 1916. He married Lillian May Sprague at Des Moines, Iowa, Feb. 3, 1917

The couple made their home on a farm at Burton, Neb., until March 1943 when they moved to Lusk. While in Lusk Mr. Morehouse was employed by the Lusk Police Department. In April 1949 the family moved to Glendo, living there until 1951.

In 1951 they moved to Provo, S.D., where Mr. Morehouse was employed in Civil Service work until his retirement in 1964.

His wife Lillian, one son, Larry and one daughter, Patricia died previously.

He is survived by one son, Clinton Crawford of Edgemont, S.D.; daughters, Mrs. Gene (Georgine) Lee, Riverton, Mrs. Leslie (Bette) Schnorenberg of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Harry (Sally) Fernau Jr. of Lusk. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Zona Meade of South Bend, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
