Crawford Rancher, Jim Mashek, Dies

James Henry Mashek, 44, died Thursday in Norfork following an extended illness. He was a rancher and farmer and lived all his life near Crawford. He was born Oct.1, 1909 in Crawford. Mr. Mashek was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was married to Martha Hugley, who survives, on April 18, 1947.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Charles, Jackie and Joie and one daughter, Elizabeth Ann, all of the home; one brother, Frank of Crawford and one sister, Mrs. Louis Freimuth of Alliance.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hemingford Methodist Church. The Rev. William C. Simmer, Pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery.

The Bates Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
