Pastor Chan Bayne presided at the service attended by many who filled the church to capacity. Mrs. Jack Hammond and Mrs. Ben Mosier sang, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "In The Garden." The services ended as Pastor Bayne read a poem written by Kenny's grandmother, Ivy Loomis.

Kenneth Lee Neilson was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Lusk, to Andrew and Martha White Neilson. He received his elementary education at Lance Creek and graduated in 1967 from the Niobrara County High School in Lusk. He graduated from Casper College with an associate degree in business administration. He spent several months in California, returning to Casper where he worked for several companies.

In 1971 Kenny worked for Universal CIT Finance Co. The following year he moved to Denver, joining his oldest brother Robert at Gulf Coast Service.

Desiring out of doors employment, he joined James Drilling Company and later NOSCO Oil Well Service Company. This allowed him to travel over much of the Western U.S. Robert and Kenneth moved to Longmont, Colo. in August 1976 where Kenneth was living at the time of his death.

Kenny was found dead July 21 at Lyons, Colo. The cause of death has not been determined. Graveside service was July 24 at the Pine Slope Cemetery at Belle Fourche, S. D., with Pastor Sam Cushing officiating. Only immediate family members attended.

Following the memorial service here, coffee and cake were served by women of the community to the many friends and relatives attending.

Relatives attending the service besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Neilson, were Kenny's brothers; Robert of Longmont, Dean of Placerville, Calif., David Neilson, and Mrs. Neilson of Glenrock; two nephews, one cousin, Marsha Scoles of Loveland, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Neilson of LaSalle, Colo. and Elizabeth Deering of Wheatland.
