Jerry J. Jassman

Funeral services for Jerry J. Jassman, age 65, were held Saturday, at Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk with Pastor Mark Lohr of the Church of Christ officiating. Interment followed at the Lusk Cemetery. He died Nov. 1 at his home in Newcastle.

Jerry was born Oct. 5, 1941, in Lusk, the son of Dorothy (Robinson) and John Jassman. He grew up in Lusk, where he lived until 1989, when he moved to Newcastle and started work at the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp. He worked there for 17 years, most recently as a Correctional Sergeant. Jerry was employed by the State of Wyoming for 34 years through various positions.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog. He was looking forward to retirement and spending all of his days doing those things that he enjoyed most.

Survivors include Karen Jassman of Lusk; his four children: Traci Jassman of Tucson, Ariz., Troy Jassman of Deadwood, S.D., Sheila Thompson of Lusk and Misty Lundstrom and husband Jon of Houston, Texas; brother, John Jassman of Deadwood, S.D.; two grandchildren, Shandra and Shawn Thompson of Lusk and one on the way; numerous cousins; and his dog and best friend, Ralph.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
