Leslie Pennington Dies in Chadron

Leslie Robert Pennington, 65, of Chadron, died at his home August 29. He was the brother of the late Roy Pennington of Lusk.

He was born March 13, 1901 at Provo, Utah. December 5, 1927 he and Gertrude Tracy were married in Shoshoni. They made Chadron their home for 25 years. He retired as supervisor of bridge and building for the C. and N. W. Railways after forty years.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church September 2 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gale Moon officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery with Masonic graveside services.

Survivors include his wife Gertrude, two sons, Leslie Robert, Jr. of Shawnee and Donald Tracy; four grandchildren and one sister.

Attending the services from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Pennington of Lusk and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pennington of Lost Springs.
