Eula Lee Jensen Petersen
Eula Lee Jensen Peterson, age 87, passed away at her home in Manville, Wyoming on Saturday, November 1, 1997, from natural causes.
Eula Lee Washington was born to Timothy and Elizabeth Washington on February 16, 1910 in Olympia, Georgia. She attended school in Valdosta, Georgia. In her advanced schooling she became a proficient beautician.
In 1931, she married Chris Jensen of Midwest, Wyoming. To this union, one son, Donald L. Jensen presently of Manville was born. This couple ranched in Midwest until 1958 when they moved to Riverton and ranched until Mr. Jensen's death in 1961.
Eula Lee was remarried in 1968 to Stanley Petersen. They made their home in the Gas Hills and later moved to Manville where they resided until Mr. Petersen died in 1975.
Eula Lee spent numerous years cooking for various ranches and at the Gas Hills Uranium Mines. She was well known for her excellent culinary skills. She also loved to crochet and make things with her hands.
Mrs. Petersen is survived by her son, Donald L. Jensen and wife Algera of Manville; five grandchildren, Candy and Robert Sedlacek of Ely, Nevada, Chris and Kathy Jensen of Lance Creek, Carol and Bill Bell of Alliance, Nebraska, Casey and Tammie Jensen of Lusk, and Connie and Wade Ayres of Tonopah, Nevada; Twelve great-grandchildren and one brother, Herbert.
She was preceded in death by her parents Timothy and Elizabeth Washington; her first husband Chris Jensen, her second husband Stanley Petersen, two sisters and one brother.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services. Memorials can be made to the Niobrara County 4-H Council.
Bader Funeral Home of Lusk was in charge of the arrangements.
